Remove or block a player from your pool
Removing a player deletes their entry and their predictions from the pool. If your pool is open via a shareable link, a removed player can normally rejoin right away, so Trofeo also lets you block them at the same time so they can't come back with the same account or email.
Prerequisites: you need owner or admin access to the workspace the pool belongs to. Removing and blocking players uses the same permission as deleting pool data, so members with edit-only access won't see these controls.
Removing a player
- Open the pool from My Pools and go into the pool editor.
- Click the Participants tab to see the full list of joined players.
- Find the player you want to remove and use the delete action next to their name.
- Confirm the removal.
When you confirm, Trofeo archives the player's predictions and then deletes their participant record and predictions from the pool. Any points or picks they contributed disappear from the leaderboard and insights immediately. This can't be undone from the pool editor, since the predictions themselves are gone, only a removal from your workspace's records remains.

Blocking a removed player
If you don't want this person rejoining, use the blocking option at the same time you remove them, rather than as a separate step afterward.
- When you remove a player, choose the option to also block them from rejoining the pool.
- Confirm the removal.
Blocking writes the player's account ID or email to the pool's blocklist. The next time someone tries to join your pool using that account or that email address, they're turned away at the join step, even if they still have the invite link.
A few things worth knowing about how blocking behaves:
- Blocking only works if the player has a durable identifier to bar, either a signed-in account or an email address on file. A participant who joined anonymously with no email can be removed, but there may be nothing to block against, so they could technically rejoin with a new anonymous entry.
- Blocking is scoped to this pool. It doesn't affect the player's access to your other pools or your workspace in general.
- Blocking doesn't touch anything that was already archived when they were removed. It only prevents a future join, it doesn't retroactively change past standings or predictions.
- If the player was already on the blocklist, removing them again with the block option is a no-op, they stay blocked.

Unblocking a player
If you blocked the wrong person, or you're ready to let them back in, you can lift the block from the same place you manage participants.
- Go to the pool editor's Participants tab.
- Look for the list of players you've blocked from this pool.
- Select the player and choose to unblock them.
Once the block is lifted, that account or email can join the pool again through your normal invite link, the same as any new player. Unblocking only removes the bar to rejoining, it doesn't restore any predictions or points they had before they were removed, since that data was deleted when they were originally removed from the pool.
