Add a custom domain to your pool

If your pool is on the Brands tier, you can run it on your own domain instead of a trofeo.live link.

Requirements

Custom domains are a Brands-tier feature. Pools on the Friends or Business tier don't have a domain field to fill in, they'll see a locked panel with a note that this is a Brands feature and a link to contact Trofeo.live about upgrading. There's no self-serve upgrade button for this one: Brands is a "contact us" plan, so you'll need to reach out and have Brands turned on for the pool before the domain field becomes usable.

One thing to plan around: Google sign-in can't complete on your own domain, since the redirect URL is fixed to trofeo.live. Once your custom domain is live, players who join from it will sign in with email and password instead of "Sign in with Google."

Setup

Once Brands is enabled on the pool:

  1. Open the pool and go to its branding settings.
  2. Under the custom domain section, enter the hostname you want to use (for example picks.acme.com) and submit it.
  3. Trofeo.live registers the hostname and returns the DNS record you need to create at your domain provider, typically a CNAME record. Copy the record's name and value using the copy icons next to each field, and add them in your DNS provider's dashboard.

DNS changes can take a while to propagate, so if the check comes back pending, wait a bit and click Verify again.

Expected result: once the record is picked up, the domain's status changes from pending to verified, and a Visit link appears so you can open the pool on its new address. From then on, that domain serves your pool's public microsite directly, players who load it see the same leaderboard, standings, and picks experience as the trofeo.live link, just under your own hostname.

If you ever need to detach the domain, use the remove option on the same card. That deregisters the hostname and clears it from the pool, so you can reuse it elsewhere or hand the pool back to its default trofeo.live link.
