Customize your pool's welcome portal
The welcome portal is the full-screen landing screen visitors see before they reach your bracket. You can brand it with your own background image, logo, and text, and control when it appears.
Prerequisites: you need to be managing the pool (owner or admin access) and have the pool's management page open.
Edit the portal
Open your pool's management page and go to the welcome portal editor. The editor shows a live preview of the portal on the left and a panel of controls on the right. As you make changes, the preview updates immediately, since it renders the actual portal your visitors will see.
To turn the portal on, use the enabled toggle at the top of the editor. When it's off, the preview is dimmed and a notice reminds you the portal won't show to visitors until you switch it back on.

To edit any part of the portal:
- Click an element in the preview, such as the background, logo, title, subtitle, body text, or the button. A highlighted outline and a small label appear around whatever you've selected.
- The panel on the right switches to show the controls for that element:
- Background: upload an image, or leave it blank to use a gradient in your pool's brand color. You can also adjust the overlay color and its opacity, which controls how dark the image appears behind your text.
- Logo: shown at the top of the portal. If you don't set one, the portal falls back to your pool's default logo.
- Title, subtitle, and body: each has its own text field with a character limit (120 characters for the title, 200 for the subtitle, 1,000 for the body). Leave a field empty and the portal falls back to your pool name or tournament name automatically.
- Button label: the call-to-action text on the button visitors click to enter the bracket, up to 40 characters. If left blank, it defaults to "Enter bracket."
- For title, subtitle, body, and button text, you can also double-click directly on the text in the preview and type your change right there. Press Enter, or click elsewhere, to save it.
Click the background (or click away from any element) to bring back the portal-wide settings, where you can choose whether the portal appears every time a visitor opens the bracket or only the first time per browser session, and whether to show a countdown to the tournament's start date and time.

Preview and publish
Before you turn the portal on for everyone, check how it looks across screen sizes. Use the device buttons in the toolbar above the preview to switch between Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile views. The preview resizes to match each device's typical width so you can confirm your background image, logo, and text still look right on a phone screen, not just on a laptop.
If you want to see the portal exactly as visitors will, use the Open link in the toolbar to load it in a new tab at your pool's public URL.
Once you're happy with how it looks in every view, make sure the enabled toggle is on. Your changes are already reflected in the live version of the portal, since the editor works directly on the real page, not a separate draft. Visitors opening your pool's bracket link will now see the branded welcome portal you just built.
