Connect your pool to Telegram
Trofeo can post pool updates straight into a Telegram group. Because Telegram uses a one-time deep link instead of an OAuth login screen, connecting it works a little differently from other integrations.
Connecting
You'll need edit access to the pool to generate a connect link.
- Open the pool and go to the Integrations tab.
- Click Connect Telegram. Trofeo generates a one-time link and gives you a button to open it.
- Tapping the link opens Telegram and prompts you to pick a group or channel to add the bot to. Choose the group you want pool updates posted in.
- Once you confirm, Telegram adds the bot to that group and automatically sends the connect handshake back to Trofeo.
If everything checks out, the bot posts a message in the group confirming it's linked to your pool, and that chat will now receive its updates. The connect link is only valid for 30 minutes: if it expires before you finish, go back to the Integrations tab and generate a new one.
A couple of things to know:
- The link only works for adding the bot to a group or channel, not a one-on-one chat.
- Each link is single-use and tied to the pool it was generated from, so you can't reuse an old one for a different pool.

Testing
Once the bot has confirmed the link, send a test message to make sure notifications actually reach the group.
- Still on the Integrations tab, click Send test message.
- Trofeo sends a message to the connected chat confirming the pool name and that notifications are wired up.
Check the group to confirm the message arrived. If you get an error instead:
- A "Telegram is not configured" error means the server side of the integration isn't set up. Contact support rather than retrying.
- A "valid Telegram chat id is required" error usually means the connect step never completed. Go back to Connecting and generate a fresh link.
- If the send itself fails, the bot may have been removed from the group or lost permission to post there. Reconnect using a new link to restore it.
